Kathmandu. Applications are invited for caregivers to work in a long-term care center in Israel, a conflict-affected country. The Department of Foreign Employment has invited applications for 500 caregivers. Although the department requested 800 applications, it has invited information to make 500 main candidates and the remaining 300 as alternate candidates. In which 60 percent are women and 40 percent quota has been allocated for men, it said.
A minimum salary of 5,880 shekels (Israeli currency) per month is set for them. It comes to more than 200,000 Nepali rupees. According to the department, the contract period can be extended for one year initially and maximum 5 years.
The department has issued a notice on Tuesday and informed to apply online within 21 days. Care giver is looking for male and female between 25 years and not more than 45 years. Height of at least 1.5 meters and weight of 45 kg, passed at least 10th standard and completed at least 15 months of study in ANMI or CMA related subject or plus two or similar educational qualification. Eligibility has been specified that after obtaining qualification, 3 months of care giver training from a training provider organization recognized by the Government of Nepal should be completed.
According to the information of the department, the relatives of people who have worked or worked in Israel in the past will be ineligible. The department also stipulates that the father, mother, husband, wife, son, daughter are not living or working in Israel. The expenses incurred for the selection process will have to be borne by the applicant himself.
An agreement was reached between the government of Nepal and Israel on OAshoj 14, 2077 to send workers to Israel. According to which, the protocol for sending 500 Nepali workers was signed between the Department of Foreign Employment and the Israel Embassy in Nepal in magha 2077.
