Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, Janardan Sharma, and the group led by Santosh Pariyar, who recently left the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), are set to announce their unification today (Sunday).

They have agreed to announce the formation of a new party, the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, at 11 a.m. on Sunday at the Rastriya Sabha Griha in Kathmandu.

It is reported that the new party has already been registered for the upcoming elections. The party will retain the “eye” symbol previously used by Naya Shakti Party, while the design of the party flag is yet to be finalized.
