Best award for ‘Sati Devi’ in South Asian Film Festival

Chitwan – The movie ‘Sati Devi’ has won the title of the best movie of the South Asian Film Festival-080 held in Sauraha. The film ‘Sati Devi’ directed by Lakshman Subedi was declared the best in the festival organized by Caravan Nepal from 18th to 22nd of magh.
Along with the title, ‘Sati Devi’ received a cash prize of 50,000 rupees. From this movie, director Subedi senior director himself. Shiv Regmi also won the best film director award dedicated to Shiv Regmi.

Director Subedi at the festival. Director Shiv Regmi’s wife Gyanu Regmi and son Abhishek Regmi presented the award. The Best Documentary Award at the festival was received by Dr. Sachin Ghimire and Gaurav KC’s directorial ‘Ma Alap Hun Chahanchhu’. Along with the title, the documentary also received a cash prize of 25,000.
Similarly, the award for the best short film was received by Pradeep Pokharel’s ‘Snow Leo Pard’. It also received a cash prize of 25,000. Similarly, Banisha Shah of ‘Nango Gau’ won the best editor.
Sankal Bhujel has received the cinematographer award for ‘Bichchheda’ and Satyaraj Choulagai and Mukun Bhusal have received the best screenwriting award for this movie. Similarly, the ‘Jury Encouragement Award’ was received by the song film ‘Bhagya’ directed by Roshan Kumar Shrestha. Out of 40 films from South Asian countries, 20 films were screened at the festival.
