Board of Control for Cricket in India announces 15-member squad for ICC Men’s U-19 World Cup

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia from 15th of January to 6th of February, 2026. The squad will be led by Ayush Mhatre, while Vihaan Malhotra will be the Vice Captain. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Aaron George and Abhigyan Kundu are also part of the squad. Five-time champions India have been placed in Group B alongside Bangladesh, New Zealand and the United States. India will begin their campaign against the US on the 15th of January at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

BCCI’s Junior Cricket Committee has also announced the India Under-19 squad for the upcoming three-match One-Day series against South Africa, beginning 3rd of January. This squad will be led by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, while Aaron George will be the Vice Captain. Ayush Mhatre and Vihaan Malhotra have sustained wrist injuries and will miss the South Africa tour. The duo will report to the BCCI Centre of Excellence for further management of their injuries and will join the team for the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup.
