Bollywood’s director Rajkumar Santoshi has been sentenced to 2 years in prison

Mumbai. Famous Bollywood director Rajkumar Santoshi has been sentenced to two years imprisonment by Jamnagar court.
The incident dates back to 2015, when Ashok Lal, a businessman from Jamnagar, gave the director a loan of Rs 1 crore to make a film.
Rajkumar Santoshi gave 10 checks of Rs 10 lakh each to Ashok Lal in lieu of paying the loan of Rs 10 lakh each. But later these checks were bounced.
When Ashok Lal tried to contact Rajkumar Santoshi on this issue, Ashok Lal filed a case in court after he disappeared. In this situation, the court has now sentenced the director.
In this case, the court issued summons to Rajkumar Santoshi and fined Rs 15,000 to Rs 15,000 for each bounced cheque, but the director did not accept the summons.
He did not appear in court during the hearing after being summoned later. In this situation, the Jamnagar court yesterday sentenced director Rajkumar Santoshi to two years in prison. Because of this, the director now has to pay Rs 2 crore instead of Rs 1 crore.
Rajkumar Santoshi is currently busy directing the movie ‘Lahore 1947’ with Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. The film is being produced under the banner of Aamir Khan’s production house.
