Cava Men’s Volleyball Club Championship trophy announced

 

Kathmandu. The trophy of Kava Men’s Volleyball Club Championship to be held from 22nd of November has been announced.

The Nepal Volleyball Association organized a program on Wednesday and announced the trophy of the Kava Men’s Volleyball Club Championship. National Sports Council member secretary Tanklal Ghising announced the trophy

On that occasion, Member Secretary Ghisingh said that the state should allocate at least one percent of the budget for sports to organize international competitions like Kava at home.

He mentioned that despite limited resources, the Volleyball Association has continuously done commendable work by organizing international competitions. He also claimed that it is the most competitive association in Nepali sports and openly praised the association for doing an excellent job.

A total of five clubs from four countries will compete in this championship, including two clubs from Nepal, in the championship which will start from Saturday. Nepal’s Champion Help Nepal Sports Club and Gandaki Province Volleyball Association are competing.

Help Nepal and Gandaki, who are in the top two positions of the 8th Prime Minister’s Cup, have set their journey to the Kava Club Championship. Along with two Nepali teams, India’s Calicut Heroes, Iran’s Chadormalu and Maldives’ Club HDC will compete.

The championship final will be held on 29th November. Jitendra Bahadur Chand, president of the Nepal Volleyball Association, said that now cricket has become a business with investments of up to 100 crores, and he said that he cannot compare Nepal’s volleyball with cricket and football.

He informed that the budget of this championship is 1 million. Also, Chairman Chand said that if the FIV World Championship is organized in Nepal, it can do business worth millions.
