Consul Khadka was awarded the ‘Order of Merit Award’ by the New Zealand government

Australia. The New Zealand government is going to award Nepali Consul Dinesh Khadka with the title of ‘New Zealand Merit of Award’. It is said that Khadka is going to be awarded the title for his incomparable contribution to Nepali society in New Zealand.

The Prime Minister of New Zealand, Christopher Luxon, sent a letter and informed that the decision to award him the title has been made. In the letter signed by the Prime Minister, it is mentioned that ‘Khadka’s contribution to the Nepali community and the society here is important and glorious in itself, so the government of New Zealand is going to give this honor’.

Khadka is probably the first citizen of Nepalese origin to receive the Order of Merit of New Zealand. Khadka, who has always been at the forefront of local politics and the concerns of the Nepali community, has been doing very important work for the welfare of Nepali students and the community during the recent corona period and the days after.

He was appointed as a consul by the Government of Nepal. Even after that, Khadka played an important role in finding solutions to the problems of Nepalis who faced during their stay, study, and work, and in collaborating with the New Zealand government.
