A contempt of court case has been filed against Prime Minister Sushila Karki for allegedly violating the Supreme Court (SC)’s interim order not to recall ambassadors.

Advocate Dr Premraj Silwal filed the case, claiming PM Karki recalled Nepali ambassadors to various countries on November 3 despite the court’s directive, thereby disregarding the SC’s authority. The apex court had on November 2 ordered that the decision to recall ambassadors from 11 countries should not be implemented immediately.
