Kathmandu : The Bara District Administration Office has imposed a curfew in Simara Airport and the surrounding Jitpur-Simara area from 1 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, citing rising tensions linked to ongoing Gen Z protests.

Issuing a statement this afternoon, the administration said the curfew was reintroduced to prevent potential clashes and protect life and property.

“The curfew has been enforced from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Mangsir 4 to avert damage to lives and property and to stop the situation from escalating,” the notice read. The order has been issued under Sections 6(a) and 6(b) of the Local Administration Act, 2028.
