Kathmandu- Although there is no direct effect of Cyclone ‘Remal’ in Nepal, due to its indirect effect, there will be normal to full rain in Koshi Province, Madhes Province, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province today.
A low-pressure system developed in the Bay of Bengal turned into a cyclone on the evening of the 12th and is currently a powerful cyclone. The name of the cyclone has been named as ‘Remal’. The cyclone seems to be advancing towards the coastal region of West Bengal and Bangladesh.
According to the Meteorological Division, the powerful cyclone ‘Remal’ in the Bay of North Bengal is likely to enter the coastal areas of Bangladesh and West Bengal.
According to the department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning storm in some places of Koshi province and heavy rain in one or two places and light to moderate snowfall in some places of high hills and Himalayan areas.
Also, since there is a possibility of storm in the Terai area, the Division has requested to take necessary precautions. As there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorm and lightning storm in few places of Madhes province, it is requested to take necessary precautions.
Similarly, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning storm in few places of Bagmati province and light snowfall in few places of high hills and Himalayan areas. In some places of Gandaki province, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning storm and heavy rain in one or two places. As there is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in few places of high hills and Himalayan areas, it is requested to take necessary precautions.
