Fire in Chinese department store: 16 dead

A fire at a department store in southern China’s Jigong city has killed 16 people.

Several other people were injured in a fire in a shopping mall in a 14-story building in the city of Sichuan province. About 30 people who were injured in the fire have been rescued and admitted to the hospital.
