Five Chinese nationals and one Pakistani were killed in an attack in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The insurgents attacked the vehicle of the Dasu hydropower project being constructed by a Chinese company.
The attacker detonated his car filled with explosives, according to Reuters. After the explosion, the vehicle carrying the Chinese nationals fell into the ditch.
So far, no armed group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack site is about 270 kilometers from the capital Islamabad.
According to the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, the attack happened on Tuesday afternoon.
