Former Chief Secretary Baikuntha Aryal’s resignation accepted

Kathmandu. The Council of Ministers has accepted the resignation of former Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal Dr. Baikuntha Aryal from the civil service. The Council of Ministers meeting held at Singha Durbar on Thursday evening decided to accept Aryal’s resignation.
He had appeared before the National Planning Commission only last Sunday and had resigned. Aryal had lost the post of Chief Secretary after being charged with corruption. Now, after being acquitted by the court in the case, he has resigned from the post of special officer created by the government. His suspension was lifted after he was acquitted by the special court in the corruption case on Kartik 14.
