Kathmandu : Information regarding those injured during the Gen-Z movement on September 8 and 9 has been made public.

Dr Prakash Budhathoki, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, said the information was compiled based on the names gathered from hospitals that provided treatment to the injured. He reported that a total of 2,638 individuals received treatment for injuries at 99 hospitals nationwide during the movement.

“We collected information about the injured ones from all hospitals that offered care during the event.” The release of the comprehensive details of the injured was postponed due to late submissions from some hospitals.

Currently, all information regarding the injured has been forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs,” stated spokesperson Dr Budhathoki. As per the details, on October 17, at total of 2,522 individuals, on 18 January, 77, and on March 13, an additional 39 injured were sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to spokesperson Dr Budhathoki, the highest number, 458, were treated at the Civil Service Hospital in New Baneshwor. In addition, 203 were treated at the Nepal Police Hospital, 190 at the National Trauma Centre, and 108 at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
