Global IME And Bank Of Kathmandu Signs Merger MoU

Kathmandu: Global IME Bank and Bank of Kathmandu sign agreement to merge. The merger will make the new bank as Nepal’s biggest bank with a total capital of Rs52 billion.

The name of the bank to be formed after the merger will be ‘Global IME BOK’. The chief executive officer of the bank will be Ratnaraj Bajracharya, the current CEO of Global IME. BOK’s Shravan Maskey will be the Deputy CEO.

After the merger, the bank’s paid-up capital will reach Rs 34.41 billion and will be the largest commercial bank in the country.
