Historic victory of Nepal over India in Kava Volleyball

Kathmandu. Nepal has achieved a historic victory over India in the Kava Women’s Nations League Women’s Volleyball. Nepal defeated India 3-2 in the volleyball covered hall of the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar. Nepal lost by 25-18, 12-25, 25-17, 18-25, 15-13. With the support of home fans, Nepal made a great start by taking a 12-6 lead in the first set. But after India made a comeback and reduced the lead to 11-13, Nepal took the first time out.
After continuing the lead and increasing it to 22-18, the victory in the first set was almost certain. Nepal easily won the first set 25-18. In the beginning of the second set, Nepal was in a situation of 6-6. But after that, India scored points continuously and won easily by 15-12. Nepal got a red card after making a mistake in player change and India missed the last point.
In the third set, Nepal took the lead of 16-9 and prepared the basis for an easy victory. Winning 25-17 in the third set, he was one set away from winning the historic victory.
India was leading 8-3 at the start of the fourth set. India was continuously leading in the fourth set. India was leading 15-10 at the middle time. Nepal showed the possibility of returning to the game by making 15-17. India won the fourth set 25-18 after losing five points in a row from being behind by 2 points in a very competitive match.
The beginning of the decisive fifth set was competitive. Usha Bhandari and Saraswati Chaudhary added points to the spike and Nepal took a 5-2 lead and signaled a historic win. Nepal changed the court in the fifth set at 8-5.
When Nepal was 12-10, India took a time out. Scored after time out. At 12-13, Saraswati added a point from the left side and Nepal was one point away from victory. But when India added points again, the match reached the level of 13-14. Nepal took a timeout to break India’s moments. Before this, the best performance in women’s volleyball between Nepal and India was in the final of the 2019 South Asian Games (SAG) at the Dasharath Stadium. In that match, Nepal lost 3-2 sets and missed out on winning the gold. In the Kava Women’s League, India, Iran, Maldives and Sri Lanka are participating in the competition along with Nepal. The top four teams will play in the semi-finals. Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 in straight sets in the first match. India defeated Iran 3-1 in the first match and Maldives in the second match 3-0 in straight sets.
