IMDb year-end lists are based on the actual page views of the more than 250 million monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide, who rely on IMDb to discover and decide what to watch.

The IMDb Most Popular Indian Movies of 2025 list has five Hindi titles, followed by two Tamil titles, and one each in Kannada and Malayalam. Mahavatar Narsimha was released in five languages simultaneously.
Mahavatar Narsimha is also the first animated movie to rank in an IMDb year-end Indian list.
The series list features representation from three subscription-based services, with four titles each from Netflix and Prime Video, and two from JioHotstar.
Seven of the 10 titles in the series list this year are crime thrillers, and six of them are either new seasons or extensions of existing franchises.
