The government of India has welcomed the successful completion of the 2026 Nepal federal parliament election in Nepal. During a regular media briefing on Thursday, Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs India, said the Indian government welcomes the successful conduct of the election in Nepal. According to Jaiswal, Narendra Modi held telephone conversations with Rabi Lamichhane, chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and senior leader Balen Shah, congratulating them on their success in the election.
