International chain Royal Tulip to run Guna Group’s Massif Hotel in Nepal

Kathmandu. Guna Group’s The Massif Hotel, built at a cost of 6 billion, will be managed by French international chain Royal Tulip. The group signed a formal agreement with Royal Tulip at the hotel premises in Gwarko on Wednesday. An agreement has been reached between Chairman Rajendra Shakya and Ajay Kumar, Director of the hotel.
Guna Group Chairman Shakya announced the conversion of the Massif Hotel into the Royal Tulip. He informed that the management agreement was signed with Royal Tulip because of France’s second largest international chain.
Remembering that Prime Commercial Bank invested in the beginning, Shakya said, “Narayandas Manandhar sir was ready to give me a loan of 50 crore rupees before he retired as CEO of Prime Bank,” he said, “We will never forget his help that he gave to us in that situation.”
He informed that in the first phase, the hotel is preparing to put the conference hall and seminar hall into operation and will put the rooms into operation after 3 months.
Measures have been taken to control possible noise pollution due to the air route. All the equipment used in the hotel will be of the Royal Tulip brand. Tulip Director Vakaya said that the focus is on training manpower to provide high-level service. On the occasion, Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan said that the agreement with Royal Tulip is an important one during his tenure.
Engineer Kiran Joshi informed that the hotel, which is spread over an area of ​​16 ropanis, has 302 rooms. The hotel has 6 halls and 3 banquet halls. Which have a capacity of 3,000 people. The hotel has a parking capacity of 600 four-wheeled vehicles. The hotel has 12 elevators, a water treatment plant, and its own bottling plant. The hotel’s general manager Balram Pathak said that the agreement is not only a trade agreement between the two countries but will implement a new concept in the entire hospitality sector.
‘We will move forward to establish a new milestone in global hospitality,’ he said. Managing Director Diprash Shakya said that the agreement will provide special hospitality to domestic and international tourists in the country. We have brought tulip not only as a brand but also to promote the country’s tourism globally.’
Rameshwar Thapa, president of Simric Ventures, said that Tulip’s entry will help the country’s tourism sector. Narayandas Manandhar, former CEO of Prime Bank, expressed his feeling that the hotel has become better than his imagination. There was nothing like this in the place before. But after the hotel came, it has become a special place in the region,” he said. “This will develop our existence. Even though the industry is closing down today, he has brought a five-star hotel into operation to prove a milestone in the tourism sector. Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Board, said that with the entry of international chains, more support will be provided to the tourism sector.
