“International Research Award” to DSP Panthi

Kathmandu. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Govinda Panthi working in the Valley Crime Investigation Office received the INTERNATIONAL INVESTIGATIVE AWARD. DSP Panthi was honored with this award for his excellent work by KIN INDIA, an organization working in the field of human trafficking and traffic control.
DSP Panthi was transferred from the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau to the Valley Crime Investigation Office. In 2023, he was selected by KIN INDIA as the best in the field of Human Trafficking Control.
The organization invited him to receive the award as he was unable to go to the event held at the Nepali ambussy in Delhi, India, so the team including Chairman of the organization Naveen Joshi and advisor Indraraj Bhattarai handed over the award to Panthi in the presence of Valley Crime Investigation Office Chief Somendra  Singh Rathore.
DSP Panthi is currently in charge of the investigation and action of the pillar 8 foreign employment fraud case of that office. He has been ruthlessly taking action against consultancy, manpower, brokers and travel agencies who cheated by sending them abroad.
Recently, he played an important role in identifying and taking action against gangs involved in human trafficking using visit visas. As a result, 8 people, including immigration officers, travel operators and brokers, have been jailed for pre-trial detention and 30 people have been released on bail. .
Similarly, DSP Panthi has achieved great success only recently. His team arrested 4 people who cheated about 80 million by saying that they were going to send gold ornaments abroad only on Sunday. The group was arrested from Bhaktapur on Sunday by a group led by DSP Govind Panthi.
