Kathmandu. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made strong comments about the ceasefire agreement. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has threatened to restart the war in Gaza after US President Donald Trump’s warning on Hamas’s announcement to stop the release of Israeli hostages.
Netanyahu said, “If Hamas does not release our hostages by Saturday afternoon, we will end the cease-fire in Gaza.” We will start the battle again.”
He had ordered Israeli troops to gather in and around Gaza. He took this step after Hamas announced it would stop the release of the hostages.
It is not clear whether Netanyahu has demanded the release of all the remaining 76 hostages by Saturday or only three of them. However, one of his ministers clarified that Netanyahu demanded the release of all hostages.
Hamas said on Monday that Israel was violating the cease-fire agreement and that the release of the hostages was blocked.
Israel has rejected Hamas’s claim that it has violated the ceasefire agreement.
US President Trump has said that Israel will have to cancel the ceasefire agreement if Hamas does not release all its citizens.
A cease-fire agreement between Hamas and Israel entered into force on January 19. Since then, Hamas has released 16 Israeli and five Thai hostages. Israel has freed 566 Palestinian prisoners. Agency
