Kathmandu in the list of world’s best natural destinations

Kathmandu. The world-famous travel website ‘Trip Advisor’ has declared Kathmandu, the federal capital of Nepal, as the best natural destination in the world.

Trip Advisor announced ‘Trip Advisor Traveler’s Choice 2024’ in seven categories and placed Kathmandu in the first list of natural destinations-2024. Kathmandu is ranked number one among the top 10 natural destinations in the world. Trip Advisor has announced destinations in seven categories of the best of the best destinations in 2024. Out of which 10 are best destinations, natural destinations, trending destinations, cultural destinations, food destinations, honeymoon destinations and sustainable destinations.

Similarly, Trip Advisor has ranked Kathmandu at number 24 among the best 25 destinations in the world. Trip Advisor is a ‘travel guidance platform’ that facilitates world wide travel. Which has been assisting in travel booking, destination selection and planning.

Maniraj Lamichhane, director of Nepal Tourism Board, said that this will contribute significantly to the promotion of Nepal’s destination. He said, “Trip Advisor has been classifying different destinations in the world every year based on the reviews and feedback of millions of consumers. This time, Nepal has listed Kathmandu as the best destination among the seven categories, this will have a positive effect on the tourism promotion of Nepal, which is returning to the rhythm after the covid epidemic.

Director Lamichhane expressed his belief that the plan to double the number of foreign tourists visiting Nepal next year announced by the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will help in making the plan to succeed.

According to the statistics of the board, 1 million 14 thousand 882 foreign tourists visited Nepal in 2023.
