KP Sharma Oli has been re-elected as the Chair of the CPN (UML) for a third term

Kathmandu : KP Sharma Oli has been re-elected as the Chair of the CPN (UML) for a third term through the party’s 11th National Congress. Oli defeated his rival Ishwar Pokhrel in the election.

According to the party’s Central Election Commission, Oli secured 1,663 votes out of the 2,227 votes cast while Pokhrel received 564.

Similarly, Shankar Pokhrel was elected as the party’s General Secretary, obtaining 1,228 votes against his competitor Surendra Prasad Pandey, who garnered 999 votes.
