Kathmandu-– At least 51 people have died in a fire at a nightclub in North Macedonia. Another 100 people were injured.
The fire broke out at the Pulse club in the town of Kokani, about 100 kilometers north of the capital Skopje. Footage posted on social media showed the entire building engulfed in flames.
The fire broke out at around 3 a.m. local time on Sunday. The country’s popular hip-hop band ADN was performing at the time.
About 1,500 people were attending the concert.
Local media reported that the fire started at the concert. The BBC reported that the fire was started by fireworks displayed during the performance.
