MCC project suspended in Nepal

Kathmandu – Projects under the US aid agency ‘Millennium Challenge Corporation’ (MCC) in Nepal have been suspended. The Ministry of Finance has stated that the Nepal government received an email regarding this on 2 Falgun 2081. An agreement was signed between the Nepal government and this agency on 29 Bhadra 2074 regarding the implementation of MCC. An agreement was reached between the Government of Nepal and this body on the implementation of MCC on 29 August 2074. According to the Ministry of Finance, according to the executive order of US President Donald Trump on 20 January 2025, the activities to be paid from MCC have been suspended for 90 days.
