More than 31 thousand children in Chitwan vaccinated with IPV

Chitwan. More than 31,000 children in the district have been given IPV vaccination against polio. 31 thousand two hundred and 21 people have been vaccinated in the vaccination program conducted as a campaign from 13th to 22nd of June.

According to Ram KC, the vector control inspector of Public Health Office Chitwan, the target is 36,704 people, 16,298 out of 19,294 in Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality, 2,213 out of 2,313 in Kalika Municipality, 3,202 in Khairhani Municipality. One thousand nine hundred and 13 children out of hundred and fifty one have been vaccinated.

Similarly, 1,652 out of 2,129 in Madi Municipality, 4,136 out of 4,369 in Ratnanagar Municipality, 3,96 out of 3,853 in Rapti Municipality, and 9 out of 1,474 in Ichchakamana Rural Municipality. He informed that 146 children were vaccinated.

412 health workers and 731 volunteers were deployed for the vaccination campaign. The vaccination program was conducted targeting the children born from May 2073 to August 2075.
