The number of Palestinians who have died in the ongoing Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip has reached 34 thousand 151, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, which is ruled by Hamas, informed on Monday.
In a statement released by the ministry, it is said, “In the last 24 hours, 54 Palestinians have been killed and 104 others have been injured in the Israeli army’s attack.”
On October 7 last year, the Palestinian Islamic militant group Hamas suddenly attacked the southern border of Israel, killing about 1,200 people and kidnapping more than 250 people.
According to the statistics of the ministry, the number of deaths in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict in retaliation for the Hamas attack has reached 34 thousand 151, while 77 thousand 84 people have been injured.
Amid the heavy bombardment and the lack of rescue personnel, some victims are still under the rubble, the statement said.
On October 7, 2023, Israel launched a large-scale attack against Hamas in the Gaza Strip in retaliation for Hamas’s attack on the southern Israeli border.
Around 1,200 people were killed and over 200 were taken hostage.
