Most of the Chinese citizens come to Nepal for employment

kathmandu-There is a statistic that on an average, 1500 young people leave Nepal every day to work abroad. But the department said that among the citizens of 96 countries who have obtained work permits in Nepal, the most number are Chinese citizens.

There is a provision in the Labor Act that only five percent of foreign workers can be employed in projects in Nepal. Many foreigners are working in airlines, electronic companies, drinking water, canals and hydropower companies in Nepal.

Among the employers in Nepal, the largest number of foreigners have been employed by China State Construction Engineering Corporation on Kathmandu-Tarai-Madhes Expressway.
Compared to the previous financial year, the number of foreign workers coming to Nepal in search of employment has decreased. According to the statistics of the department, the number of foreigners who received work permit has decreased by 10 percent compared to last year.

It is mentioned in the statistics that the number of foreigners who have received work permit from the government is 309 people less than the previous financial year.

In the previous year, 2 thousand nine hundred and 94 foreigners obtained work permits through renewal and renewal, while the number of new work permits and renewals during the same period last year was 2,685. Among them, the number of foreign women workers is 349, according to statistics. It is mentioned in the statistics provided by the department that 2,994 people took approval in 2079.80.

Last year, 1,020 new applicants were given work permits and 1,665 people were renewed.
