Muhammad Yunus, who is preparing to lead the interim government in Bangladesh, appealed to save the country from anarchy and violence. Nobel Prize winning economist Yunus has taken oath. He reached Dhaka for that and addressed the media persons at the airport and said, “If you have faith and trust in me, then you should ensure that there is no violence anywhere in the country.”
He further said, ‘I want to emphasize that the country should be saved from chaos.
The country must be saved from violence so that the country can be taken forward on the path shown by the students. “Bangladesh had the potential to become a beautiful country but it was destroyed,” he said. “Now we have to prepare the seeds for this, we have to rise again” Yunus said, the youth will prepare the seeds. We follow it and move forward according to their instructions.
Security chiefs as well as leaders of the student movement reached the airport to welcome Yunus, who headed the interim government. He praised the student movement and termed it as Bangladesh’s second victory day.
According to The Daily Star, Yunus emphasized that the benefits of this independence should be delivered to every home in Bangladesh. If not, he said, it would have no meaning.
During his speech, Yunus remembered Abu Shayed, the first student killed during the protest. With tears in his eyes, he said, “I am remembering Abu Shayed, his picture is in my heart.” He showed the courage to stand in front of the police firing with his arms outstretched. After that no one was afraid.
