The Election Commission (EC) has made public the schedule of the election to the National Assembly members announced for coming 24 January 2026.
According to the election schedule approved by the Commission, the voter list will be published on coming January 3 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by scrutiny of claims, objections, and complaints regarding the voter list, with the final publication of the list scheduled for 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on January 6.
According to the EC’s Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the nomination of candidates will be from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 7, objections to candidates can be filed from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on January 8, candidates can withdraw their names from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on January 11, and the final publication of candidates’ names will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on the same day.

The election symbols will be distributed to candidates from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on January 12.

The EC stated that the election for the 18 members of the National Assembly will be held on January 24 at the relevant polling stations from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
