Nepal has 165 electoral constituencies for the House of Representatives, based on the 2015 Constitution for which elections will be held on march 5. These constituencies are determined by geography and population for the First-Past-The-Post (FPTP) system. An additional 110 members are elected through a proportional representation system, totaling 275 members in the House. A total of 18,903,689 voters are eligible to participate in the March 5 election.

This includes 9,663,358 men, 9,240,131 women, and about 200 classified under “other” categories. A total of 10,967 polling stations are established across the country for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5, 2026. The number marks an increase of 168 polling stations from the 10,892 centres used in the previous elections. As many as 3,484 individuals from 68 political parties as well as independents have registered their candidacies for the March 5 election. Likewise, only 63 parties have submitted the closed list of the candidates under the PR category.
