Kathmandu: Nepal has staked a claim for five posts in the different committees of the United Nations.

Nepal has filed candidacies for two posts in the committees of the UN in the elections to be held this year. It has filed its candidacy for the post of vice-chairman of the UN General Assembly. The elections will be held in coming June.
