The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 23.8 points this week, falling on four of the five trading days and reducing market capitalization by Rs 30 billion. Analysts attribute market volatility to economic conditions and political uncertainty, despite favorable policies such as relaxed banking lending limits.
