Kathmandu Two Nepali sisters have died in a fire in Aberdeen, Scotland. Anchal Subedi, 28 years old, and Shiksha Subedi, 24 years old, who were originally from Pokhara and currently living on Back Hilton Road in Aberdeen, died in a fire on Monday evening.
Among the deceased, sister Anchal was an engineer and sister Shiksha was a student of IT. The flat they were staying in was on the second floor, while the fire started on the first floor of the same building at 6:00 pm. As soon as they realized the fire, they rushed downstairs and tried to get out.
It is said that the firemen who arrived after the fire started successfully rescued the people in the other flats on the upper floor of the building, but the unconscious sisters on the ground floor died before they could be rescued.
