Janaki  : Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has said the responsibility of running country for five years should be given to his party. He stressed the need of intensifying development works in the country after holding the election.

Addressing an election publicity programme organised at Janaki rural municipality-3 of Banke district on Thursday, President Thapa requested the voters to cast votes for his party. He mentioned that they would run the NC in a pace as envisioned by the constitution prepared by late leader Sushil Koirala.

The NC President argued that the NC should carry out activities in an ‘extraordinary’ way for the next five years so that it would pave way for good governance.

Investigation of corruption cases after 2046 BS is essential, Thapa said, underlining the need for correcting mistakes. He also claimed that there was unity within NC.
He arrived in Banke on Thursday in course of addressing election publicity events.
