Kathmandu. The Nepali team that participated in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup in Malaysia has returned home. The Nepalese national women’s cricket team, which lost to the home team Malaysia in the semi-finals, returned home on Monday morning.
By registering a 4-wicket victory over Nepal in the semi-finals, Malaysia has secured a place in the ACC Women’s Asia Cup.
Nepal remained undefeated in the group stage and reached the quarterfinals as the group winners. In the group stage, Hong Kong and Bhutan were defeated by 8 (8) wickets and Maldives by a record 214 runs. In the quarter-finals, Kuwait was also defeated by 8 wickets, but in the semi-finals, Nepal lost not only the title but also the dream of playing the ACC Women’s Asia Cup.
