Nirvan Kumar Chaudhary, the newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nabil Bank Limited, has taken the oath of office and confidentiality from the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Paudel.

Chairman Chaudhary took the oath at a program held today at Nepal Rastra Bank. The 699th meeting of the Bank’s Board of Directors, held on Poush 28, 2082 (BS), had unanimously selected Chaudhary as Chairman.

He is the Managing Director of the leading business conglomerate Chaudhary Group and has been serving as a director in various companies under the group. Actively involved in social service, he is also the Vice Chairman of the Chaudhary Foundation and the Senior Vice President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI).

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Deputy Governors of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr. Neelam Dhungana Timsina and Bamb Bahadur Mishra; Executive Directors Ramu Paudel, Guru Prasad Paudel, Dayaram Sharma, and Dhirgha Bahadur Rawal; Director Nira Talchabhadel; Secretary to the Board of Directors and Director Sharan Kumar Adhikari; and from Nabil Bank, Directors Malay Mukherjee, Ananta Poudyal, Pravin Tibdewala, Sarita Bhatt Adhikari, Anil Keshari Shah; Chief Executive Officer Manoj Kumar Gyawali; Deputy Chief Executive Officer Bhupendra Pandey; and Company Secretary Bhishma Neupane, among others.

Nabil Bank currently provides services through a nationwide network of 268 branches and 321 ATM machines. Serving more than 2.5 million customers, the bank has expressed its commitment to moving forward together with all its stakeholders.
