Four years after a major split, the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has officially reunified. The announcement was made on Sunday morning in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki in Kathmandu.

The presidents of the two factions, Dr. Badri KC and Mahesh Shrestha, signed a unity agreement, ending the division that had originated from a membership dispute during the 10th General Convention.

Following the unification, both sides have agreed to recognize the committees elected from the 10th and 11th General Conventions, form a joint steering committee led by presidents KC and Shrestha to conduct the 12th General Convention, withdraw all court cases filed by both factions, and extend the timeline for membership distribution.
