Kathmandu. Norway’s parliament has been closed since Wednesday following a bomb threat. National broadcaster NRK quoted the police as saying that the closure was made after receiving one bomb threat on Tuesday evening and another on Wednesday morning.
Police said the investigation into the two threats is continuing. All entrances to the Parliament have been closed. The area around the building was also cordoned off from 10am on Wednesday.
The security measures have caused significant problems in the traffic flow and public transport services around the Parliament building. Norway’s Justice Minister Emilie Anger Mehl has condemned the bomb threat against the Storting as unpleasant and unacceptable.
