Kathmandu. KATHMANDU The nominations for the 97th Oscar Awards, which have been delayed due to the fire that spread across Hollywood, have finally been announced. According to Nepali time, nominations in 23 categories were announced on Thursday evening.
“Emilia Perez” has been nominated in 13 categories the most. ‘The Brutalist’ and ‘Wicked’ have been selected in 10 categories. “A Complete Unknown” and “Conclave” have been selected in 8 categories.
16 Netflix movies have been selected in the nomination list. 14 films of A-Twenty Four, 13 of Universal, 13 of Focus Features and 10 of Searchlight have been nominated. Looking at the nominations, it seems that Asia is a shock. Not only the international feature, no Asian film has been selected in any of the top categories.
The Oscar nomination announcement program was postponed twice due to the fire that spread in Los Angeles, which is considered to be the home of Hollywood, killing 28 people. However, it is said that the main award distribution program will be held on March 2 at Dolby Theatre. Here is the list of nominees for the top categories:
