Kathmandu. The government has banned walking on the footpaths around the Singha Darbar and the Federal Parliament Building in Naya Baneshwar.
From Tuesday morning, walking on the footpaths around the Singha Darbar and the Federal Parliament Building will be prohibited. Nepal police have put ropes and barbed wire in those areas. People have started walking on the main road.
The microfinance victims broke the security cordon and entered the parliament building on Saturday and started protesting and shouting slogans. After the protestors entered the prohibited and sensitive area, the police has banned walking on the sidewalk since Tuesday.
