Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson and former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has been discharged from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital following treatment.

According to a press statement issued by TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, Lamichhane sustained an injury to his left leg while attending a program in Janakpur on Magh 5, 2082. As his condition did not improve despite medication, he later developed an infection diagnosed as cellulitis.

The hospital said Lamichhane was admitted to the Orthopedics Department on Magh 13 and was treated with intravenous antibiotics. He was discharged on Thursday after his health condition improved.

Meanwhile, the hospital clarified that some photos circulating on social media are not related to TU Teaching Hospital. The hospital administration has urged the public to remain cautious of misleading content.

In a statement issued by Hospital Management Officer Sagar Paudyal, it was noted that the treatment process was successful and Lamichhane’s current health condition is normal.
