Kathmandu. The National Examination Board, Office of the Controller of Examinations has released the results of Secondary Education Examination (SEE). Only 47.86 percent of the total students who participated in the exam have passed.
186 people have got 4 GPA.
According to the results announced by the office, out of 444,785 students who participated in the examination, only 242,92 students will be able to study in class 11. In other words, 52.14 percent of the examinees who participated in the examination got Non Grade (NG).
This year, the board has published the results according to the Letter Grading Guide, 2078, in which there is a provision to evaluate the theoretical and internal aspects differently. Students should score at least 35 percent marks in each subject in theory.
A minimum of 26.25 marks for the theoretical exam of 75 marks and 40 percent i.e. 10 marks for the internal examination of 25 marks. According to the letter grading guidelines, the theoretical and internal points obtained have been converted into grades and the results have been published.
On the theoretical side, students who do not get 35 percent i.e. 26.25 marks in the subject of 75 full marks examination will be mentioned in the certificate of NG (non graded). And, they will not be allowed to study in class 11 without taking the grade increase test.
In addition, students will not get the original certificate if they do not score at least 10 marks in internal and 26.25 marks in theoretical. However, they will be allowed to take the grade enhancement exam in two subjects. Candidates who did not get minimum 35 percent marks in more than two subjects and who could not get 35 percent marks even when taking the grade enhancement exam, will be allowed to take the exam in the next year only in the subject of NG.
The examination was held from 15th March to 27th March.
