The government has launched a renewed campaign to clear major squatter settlements across the Kathmandu Valley, beginning with areas along the Bagmati riverbank in Thapathali.

From early Saturday morning, authorities started removing structures in the settlement area, while affected residents have gradually begun coming into official contact with government teams.

According to official data, by 2 PM on Saturday, 23 families had already registered with authorities and submitted their detailed personal information.

For immediate health support, primary healthcare services have been arranged at health promotion centers in Ward No. 11 (Babarmahal), Ward No. 31 (Bhimsen Gola), and Ward No. 32 (Pepsicola) under the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
