Sudan Gurung has claimed that Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah and Energy Minister and Ujyalo Nepal Party patron Kulman Ghising have already reached a political understanding.

Gurung said he played a role in bringing the two leaders together, adding that he has now begun talks with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) to push for a broader alliance among alternative political forces.

According to him, he visited RSP Chair Rabi Lamichhane at Nakkhu Jail on Thursday as part of his commitment made during the Gen-Z movement to facilitate unity among emerging political actors.
