South Africa defeated England by 7 runs in the match held on Friday night. This is the sixth consecutive victory of South Africa in the ongoing World Cup.
Chasing the target of 164 runs given by South Africa, England scored 156 runs with the loss of 6 wickets. Harry Book scored 53 and Liam Livinton scored 33 for England.
On the bowling side, South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj took 2-2 each and Vatinel Baratman and Unrich Nerje took 1-1 wickets.
After losing the toss, South Africa scored 163 runs after losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Quinton de Kock scored 65 runs, David Miller scored 43 runs, Reza Hendricks scored 19 runs and Tristan Stubbs scored 12 not out.
England’s Jofra Archer took 3 wickets and Mehin Ali and Adil Rasil took 1 wicket each.
