T20 Asia Cup cricket: India suffer 5-wicket defeat to Pakistan in Super 4 stage

In the Asia Cup T20 cricket, India suffered a five-wicket defeat to Pakistan in the Super four match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium last night.

Put into bat first, India posted a total of 181 runs for seven in stipulated 20 overs riding on Virat Kohli’s 60 off 44. For Pakistan, Shadab Khan picked up two wickets.

In reply, Pakistan overhauled the target in 19.5 overs losing five wickets with the help of Mohammad Rizwan’s 71 off 51 and Mohammad Nawaz’s 42 off 20 balls. Five Indian bowlers including Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh scalped one wicket each.

India can still reach the final clash of the tournament if everything goes in their favour. So, for India to advance to the final, they have to win the remaining two matches against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, which is scheduled on 6th and 8th of September respectively.
