Kathmandu. Today, Matatirtha Aunsi, the day of looking at the mother’s face, is being celebrated with reverence, devotion, respect and respect for the mother on her birthday.
In this festival, which is celebrated on the day of Vaishakh Krishna Aunsi, there is a custom of blessing one’s mother by dressing her in new clothes with various gifts, eating sweet and savory food.
People who don’t have a mother remember their deceased mother by performing Shraddha. There is a classical belief that if you do this, you will be freed from maternal debt. Today, it is customary for those who do not have a mother to perform Shraddha in memory of their mother at Matatirtha in Kathmandu.
Devotees have been thronging Matatirtha since morning. It is customary for Nepali Hindus to celebrate Baisakh Krishna Aunshi as a festival to look at the mother’s face(mothers day) and Bhadra Krishna Aunsi as a festival to Fathers day .
