Tourism Decade from 2025 to 2035.

Kathmandu, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has said that preparations are underway to celebrate the coming years 2025 to 2035 as the Tourism Decade in Nepal.

Answering the questions asked by the parliamentarians in the meeting of the National Assembly, Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, he said that an action plan is being worked on to celebrate tourism from 2025 to 2035 as the Decade of Tourism.

“We don’t just want to celebrate the tourism decade, the main thing is to make financial preparations for it, how much the state can invest for the tourism decade, how much foreign aid will be, that is currently being discussed,” he said. He said that the problems in the culture, tourism and aviation sectors have been solved on a priority basis.

“If you come to the ministry and say you need a monastery, temple or mosque, we have been taking it forward on a priority basis. We have been working on a priority basis on how much the federal government, the provincial government, the local government or the stakeholders/consumers will contribute to build a temple in a certain place,” he said.

Minister Pandey said that work is being done to manage, protect or repair existing airports and to study the needs of the locations where the airport is in demand. He informed that it was a policy decision that all press work related to the government should be done in the press office of Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan, referring to maintaining good governance. He said that studies are being done to make all the airports in operation the best in every way.
