Tourists’ enthusiasm on the Annapurna trail

Lamjung. Tourist traffic has started to increase on the circular Annapurna trail. This footpath, which was deserted until some time ago, has now become more crowded with the arrival of the tourist season.
At present, more than 200 foreign tourists are arriving daily, said Bhupendra Gurung, in charge of Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) Tourist Check and Information Center in Manang Dharapani. According to him, the number of tourists will increase in the middle of Tihar.
Pancha Bahadur Gurung, a tourism businessman from Masryangdi Rural Municipality-4, which is located on this footpath, said, “We have become leisurely as the arrival of tourists has stopped, and now we are busy for them as the arrival of tourists has started to increase.” He says that not only he but also the tourism professionals in this area are happy with the increase in the number of tourists on the footpath. He said that even though the income is almost zero when tourists do not come, they are earning Rs 30,000 to 40,000 daily.
Similarly, according to another tourism businessman, Mekh Bahadur Gurung, income is also increasing with the increase in tourists. According to him, the daily income is up to Rs 30-35 thousand due to the increase in tourist arrivals. Tourists had not come before because of the problem of tourists coming to the footpath with the onset of snow.
Hundreds of hotel businesses are operating around this footpath. The entrance of the Annapurna footpath is the Chautara of Lamjung Bensisahar Municipality-7 Manang. Five districts namely Lamjung, Manang, Kaski, Mustang and Myagdi are connected on this footpath.

Foreign tourists come to the Annapurna trail to see the views of the mountains and mountains, the high mountains, the customs of the people of Manang, the natural beauty and climb Thorang Bhanjyang from Manang and go to Pokhara via Mustang. Tourists come to climb and see various mountains and Chuli in Manang. Since the beginning of the year 2023, 14 thousand two hundred and 14 tourists have come to this footpath.

According to the center, most of the citizens of Israel, France, Germany and other countries have come on this route. According to the center, there are more domestic tourists than foreign tourists at the moment, but there is no reliable data. Businessmen are getting excited by the influx of foreign and domestic people on this path.
